Dr. Sarah Nakib, MD, MPH, FAAD

Board Certified Dermatologist

Dr. Sarah Nakib, MD is a board-certified dermatologist with the American Board of Dermatology. She grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota before coming to this region. She received her medical training at the University of Minnesota, where she also completed her residency in dermatology and internal medicine and served as Chief Resident her final year. After graduating, she worked at Johns Hopkins as an Assistant Professor in the department of dermatology.

Dr. Nakib has also received fellowship training at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia and holds a Masters in Public Health. During residency, she received awards from the Society for Investigative Dermatology, Medical Dermatology Society, Botswana-University of Pennsylvania Partnership Program, and Women’s Dermatologic Society.

She enjoys treating every day skin conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, and warts, as well as complicated rashes such as those related to hives or autoimmunity. She also enjoys managing skin cancers and cosmetics. She is a fellow with the American Academy of Dermatology and the Washington D.C. Dermatologic Society.

Her hobbies include traveling, biking, and exploring local parks and places with family and friends.

 

 

Emily Kuzoian

Physician Assistant
Emily Kuzoian is a board-certified Physician Assistant who received her medical training at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. During this time, she was trained in dermatology, building on her previous experience in the field. Prior to earning her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies, Emily earned her Bachelor’s degree in both chemistry and economics from Bucknell University and spent a few years working as a digital health consultant before pursuing her passion for dermatology.

As a dermatology Physician Assistant, Emily strives to provide comprehensive patient care to diverse populations using evidence-based treatment plans. She enjoys treating common skin concerns and aims to make her patients’ days a little bit better each time they see her. Emily is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.

She is thrilled to return to the Northern Virginia area, and enjoys spending her free time reading, playing with her cat, and trying new restaurants with friends and family.
